[RK1] Level 100 froob raids

[RK1] Level 100 froob raids

Both in game and here on the forum people seem to have become enthousiastic about raiding on level 100 froobs.
So I would like to propose doing a raid thursday July 30th at 6 pm GMT. We rally at the Newland City Bronto Burger.

I would like to propose the following rules: (but please feel free to comment if you want something changed :))
  • Only froobs
  • Only levels 72-100 (that's the teaming range, but I guess if you really want to come on a 60 that would work too)
  • No outside buffs, except Mochams since many existing twinks rely on that. Please feel free to give feedback on this as I'm not 100% sure this is the right way to deal with it
Depending on how many people we get, we can choose a raid target. I think I've spotted a suitable target for a smallish group :)

Buffs are an interesting topic..
No outside buffs would make it a true lvl 100 raid.
Then again, one could probably spike anyone with mochams and a wrangle high enough to cast the top buffs anyway.

Consider allowing any outside buffs but NCU buffs to spice it up.
See people sweat trying to hold rrfe, hnq and offensive steamroller on top.

My main concern with OSB's is that it might reduce people to just damage dealers. Enforcer essences, fixer hots, NT nano regain buffs, soldier reflects; all those would be useless if we'd get OSB's. Which would make things less interesting I feel :)
Excluding existing level 100s reliant on certain buffs to function would definitely be bad though, so exceptions are probably required :)

Usually I always give my voice for less rules, but here I think that no OBS is the correct approach. The spirit is again to push the limits and only taking OBS from other raiders is probably the best approach. But then I would go all the way and exclude mochams as well, unless someone has level 100 MP who can cast them. It is a true team effort then, and if this flies people would start to create toons to fill in missing roles - just like it was when Froob200 was at its best.

Pretty much any build that would rely on mochams would just have to revert to lower ql nano. They would still remain twinks and high performing toons.

Heh, if in old times it took long time to buff up for the raid, with this it is going to be double. You need a fixer and trader to cycle through every team draining, ncu buffing and wrangling. Probably one round of wrangles is not enough even...

We started with a level 100 doctor, 100 bureaucrat and 100 advy and were later joined by a 78 fixer. So it was only a little raid, but great fun :)

Our first target was the Iron Reet, who turned out to be a complete push-over. He died so quickly that I didn't even have time to make a screenshot :) His stuns still made for an interesting fight though. Grats to Ouzo on a Droid Control-device.

After that we went for the Escaped Gargantula. He was harder than expected because he kept hitting consistently for about 850 damage. We had to use snares to get out of range and heal, but we killed it without casualties =D>

Daria wasn't up, so we decided to go to PW for some highbie dynahunting. We killed 7 or 8 I think :)

The highest dyna we tried, a level 207 demon. He was 107 levels higher than us, while Ian Warr is a mere 100 levels above a max level froob ;)
