doc armor

Post by Iaito » Sun Sep 10, 2006 5:30 am

I am now a lvl 7 doc, just startet out, and I am wondering what type of armor I should go with... I have sets of carbs from my trader I could use, but is carb the best armor for a doc? what about nano armor? I have found the shoulder pads from dynas with my trader, but people say it starts droping in missions from ql 75... the shoulder pads are ql 45 or something... so what is the best armor for a doc? :P

Carb is the ultimate armor for lowbies everywhere, no matter what Breed/Prof you chose. After that, carb is still viable for docs for the +nano... I'd suggest you stick to a medsuit until 15, then go for carb for a while, and then think about what you want to get out of your toon.

For low lvl's u can get Nova Dillon too, for the trickle down (good drop rate from low lvl Dynas/Missh boss) and i added a lil nice item to the right shoulder - wich seems easy to get.
GL with it  .

Carb armor is built by a tradeskiller (engie or trader usually). Ask one of them about it.. a full set will usually cost you about 10k per ql.

You have to buy the plates from the tradeskill booths, the final ql of the amor is the same of the plate's ql. Once the carb armor is made apply a omnifier to make it omni carb.

Thanks for the replies.

I played AO in beta. Back then it was just too buggy. I came back to see how it has evolved. I prefer my MMO's to be well-seasoned, feature-packed, and relatively free from major issues. I actually like it a lot so far. I think the graphics could use some serious updating though but mechanically the game is good and it seems to have lots and lots of life left in it (compared to say for example EQ).

I'm comfortable as a Doc so far and I dig firing dual pistols. But, there is a TON to learn, like for example what kind of armor, implants, nano's, etc. I should consider upgrading. I have already spent at least a hundred hours just on the various forums researching but have only scratched the surface. By far, the best way to learn is by talking to people.

Found the Omni Medical armor - nice. Is there a way to upgrade our DoT's? Or, do we just have to wait until we level high enough to obtain better versions?

Same as any other nano, you need to buy the next version up to get a bigger bang out of it.
