Leet Protection Agency

Post by Nedylene » Tue May 26, 2009 9:25 pm

The Leet Protection Agency was founded in May this year by Lise "Gimpeline" Everwhite and Katelin "Ukblizzard" McChristion.

The LPA is not a normal organisation. It is an agency which encourages people from any organisation and from any faction to join together to work towards putting an end to the cruelty endured by leets across Rubi Ka on a daily basis.

You can see our flyer here.

Currently the LPA is interested in seeking out Rubi-Kans who also want to join our fight. We are particularly looking for people who are fantastic at organising promotional events and potential fundraisers.

If you want to join us as an individual, or if you want to sign your whole organisation up to join the LPA, we would love to hear from you. Please contact either Gimpeline or Ukblizzard via this gridsite or with your communication device.

The LPA curently only operates on Atlantean, however if there are people on Rimor or DNW who would be interested in sharing ideas and running their own events we are open to suggestions.

Stop the killing. Join the fight.
Make life easier for our little friends.

According to billboards in all the major cities, Omni-Tek sees leets as a plague. The very first thing new arrivals to Rubi-Ka are being encouraged to do, is to kill some leets. Omni-Pol officer Katelin "Ukblizzard" McChristion does not share this view?
I always thought I was doing the right thing for the corporation every time I blast a leet to tiny pieces...

what is the LPAs' view on Keeping Leets as pets? (especially about those people who force leets to duel each other in a cruel sport, for the entertainment of everyone watching)

I'd like to sign up for the event promotions and fund raising aspect but I cannot vouch for the protection of leets. There are many mutational strands of leets that are carcinogenic to the terraformed areas...that must be exterminated. I would like to see documented specifications identifying leet genome sequences that are under protection of the LPA before signing up.

On a related note, I would gladly sign up for the protection of planetary bartenders.

As stated in the details given by Lise, I am involved a lot with the LPA.

You have noted the Billboards, you are right they do exist and they do portray a message that Leets are disease carriers, however these billboards were erected years ago and never attended to since. This does not surprise us at all, due to the unkempt areas in general. However, there was never, to my knowledge any emergency public safety annoucement made when regulations came into place to allow leets to be kept as pets. So, we would assume that these are outdated and not within the budget for the Corporations advertising or public announcements for the foreseeable future.

With regards to leets as pets, of course this is encouraged. There are many Rubi-kans who can offer a wonderful home to a leet. However, the use of pet leets in duals and fighting for competition is frowned upon by the LPA. The leets welfare is not being considered in this setting by its owner and the practice should be halted immediately.

It is correct to point out the mutated leets that can be found on the planet. I would imagine you are specifically thinking of the ones located at Drill Island. LPA would be willing to work with medical agencies to find a cure for these leets, but in the short term we understand that public safety is the most important factor.

If you are interested in getting involved, our first big event will be "brb-aid", which we hope will be a large music and culture event held to make our message heard. We have not set a date yet, but are planning for it to be this side of Christmas.
