Neutrals get the biggest bonus of all - we don't have to be Omni or Clan

And I've never really liked that arguement anyway - well the better bonuses armor etc. one When you play games with difficulty settings do you always play on easy? If you play a fighting game and of all the characters you can pick one is clearly the best choice do you never play the other chars because winning is the only reason you play the game? I contend that is exactly what you are doing when you pick which of the 3 sides you'll play by the best bonuses. I know most people don't RP but technically this is still a RPG. I have some sided alts for variety sure, but my main and most of my alts will always be Neutral because I want to be, not because it makes the game easier for me.

Although ofc as noted before Neutrals get special bonuses nobody sided does such as if you have the SL expansion you can go in every garden, and can go in nearly any city on Rubi-Ka without being hassled by the guards, and might not seem like a lot but we can shop in every trade dept in the shops - Clan Neut & Omni(a real help when searching for clusters or the right ql of tradeskill stuffs).

I'd rather jump right in, than sit on the sidelines :)

Clan, clan, clan ...

Post by Emika2 » Fri Sep 29, 2006 1:59 pm

ive played clan since i started and have only bothered with two omni avatars, one to see what rome was like, and one as a mule, who if your omni you may have seen. Anyway i would just like to point out that clans are really THE best in my opinion, as the society is better, the orgs seem to be far better, and the people are generally more lively and helpful.

Just my opinions so dont rip me to shreds.

As far as I have seen with the clan vs omni who is better thing. It all depends what happens on the side on the first few days of play that gets or looses your attention and overall liking of the side

Clan, on all of my chars except an alt I use for snagging medsuits and other OT only goodies. My reasons are pretty simple, I came here with a bunch of other people from an internet community (think SA.com but 100x more lame ), the original org leaders picked clan for some reason, I dont remember why, and that was that. Beyond that Ive never really gotten much into the OT vs Clans thing, though IMO omni has a bit too much 1984 going on.

I suffer from Chronic Boredom Syndrome and Online ADD (that is, I tend to get distracted easily and only play AO a few weeks out of the year), maybe if/when I put more time into the game Ill get involved a bit more (especially now that froobs can do tower wars).

Just check my nick here

In fact I find more helpful clanners on RK2 (oa hills is always busy with ppl buffing others for free). But there are omnis helping out others too, just not such organized. Something I did not see in Rome is the stuff clanners gave away at Halloween wile playing hide and seek. They did it all day long, and gave out about 3-4 city's worth in stuff (6-8 000 000 000 creds for those who do not know going rate for a city) in the time I was there.
For neuts... High lvl neuts are the hardest to find, but I always got buffs for free after a couple of seconds if there is some neut on and I ask on neut ooc. If noone is on capable of giving that buff out, I have to ask for some more time, and someone usually logs a toon to give it. Just like I do. Same goes for tradeskilling.
Now it is only 2 more billion creds to buy a city...

Be strong in your convictions. I knew a guy who a long time ago played a char named neutforlife, but suffice it to say he hasn't played that char for a long time and he didn't stay Neut either.

2 toons out of 24 is not neut (true, a lot still on island :? ), and started a couple years back. Is that enough?

How many of those are over level 100, when you will really start to envy token boards?
