Froob playing Keeper?

Post by Solumus » Thu Sep 29, 2005 5:24 pm

Something doesn't add up here. Do we really want/need profession forums for the Keeper and Shade professions? It is conceivable that those who pay to play would use this forum... but isn't the point of it for froobs?

Whatcha all think?

This was a conscious decision...while this is a fr00b site, that doesn't mean that
  1. fr00bs won't have Keeper (Shade) comments or
  2. non-froobs won't come here to post.
Having said that, these forums may be removed in the future.

As Pnunu pointed out. The intention is to not leave anyone out. I've often wanted to know more about the Professions that us fr00bs can't have. So what better way then invite those who are paying to chime in.

I stand corrected. By all means, bring on the Keepers of the world!

If all you want to do is hack & slash, keepers are for you.

Rather true that is. I have encountered Keepers who were 10+ levels below me solo stuff I had a hard time doing with a high-level bot...

Heh. 2HE class which uses a lot of farming scythes (frost scythe of legionaire and frost-bound reaper). Only near 200 the typed kyr'ozch swords become the best DD option.

Much of this is due to perks and their actions. Keepers have access to bio shielding which after perk point 3 (lvl 60) provides 30 sec absorb shield. Also at low levels aura of revival (healing perk aura) in pretty powerfull.

Glargh if you are engi you have no problem pawning your level keepers in pvm. Just ask masteries/infuses/mochams from mp and your bot is allways red to you. I got my slayer guardian at 123 and I was on free account at the time.

Heheh, I don't really have a hard time getting high-level bots out, just a tad lazy to get Mochams nowadays to summon a Slayerdroid....

I do wish I had went out in search of Mochams/Wrangles when I was level 60, though. I was already capable of soloing every mob and unique in ToTW minus Uklesh and his subsequent forms self-buffed. I can only imagine now what I could've been capable of then...

We might not be able to play keepers, but we regularly team with them.

They can be an invaluable member, +hp/nano auras combined with +damage, and +Off/Def is ALWAYS good. I can only imagine what their self-only buffs are like :P
Etang - Soldier
Curlyness - Nanomage Pistol weilding Adventurer
Dustoph - Solitus Melee adv (1st char)
Metag - Up-and-coming MP

Hooray for the Clans.

that ain't to true Techro.
my keeper are 155 with Tier2 and a ql191 type 880 Kyr'Ozch Sword and it beats the FBR.
Keepers are truely a good prof for dmg allthought in pvp they aren't to good before 210+ imho.
specially a atrox keeper with mongo rage.
It's said that a clean 175 kyr sword beats the FBR, if that is true i don't know but from experience i'd choose alien sword over FBR.
My keeper also has alien armor sleeves and legchopper gloves and as a back item i use Ancient Container (sorry fr00bs, you won't be able to use any of this except a FBR and far from it a keeper allthough a FBR on a enforcer ain't to shabby ^^

I have never felt more valued now as a keeper than any of my other characters. I just have to show up at a dungeon and get a load of tells asking me to join their team, as much as I would like to think that is down to my charming personality and awe-inspiring presence I suspect they are actually after my team heal and damage buffs :(

Heh, how fair is this man? Engie with all possible buffs and red bot (not talking about AC buffs here or about engie custom made pistol) and keeper only selfbuffed.
If u make a honest competition, based ONLY on selfbuffs, keeper is the profession who wins. At least in my oppinion.
