Re: Froob Trader Guide by Hahnsoo/Ferrell

Archive.org downloaded and saved many dozens of third party .zip packages created by AO players. It's only a matter of finding them. The old link at the original thread comment section was broken and didn't seem work, but now it does? Note -I added the second page to the ARK crawler. Legacy .zip lin...

Re: Froob Trader Guide by Hahnsoo/Ferrell

I found a legacy trader skill drain calculator at archive.org. The original thread is no longer on the aofroobs server. https://web.archive.org/web/20131022180624/http://www.aofroobs.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2294 The .zip package was saved on the ARK server and anyone may download the copy from the...

Re: Essential Sites and Guides for an Engineer

AO Universe guide pages currently cover most everything now - and is up to date. Most of the stuff here is dead linked or Ancien Régime. Archive.org never captured the old Tir School of Engineering site because the site was java and flash based, so that's gone forever. Le Petit Engi is dead. Find th...

Re: Skill lock guide - List of all frubi right-clickable items

This guide is still useful, though a few things have changed. Grafts are limited to a few specific tyoes and jobe skill lock clusters may be found in ICC now.

Save froob content at archive.org

I've been trying to update current froob content stored on the WayBackMachine. There should be new captures for AOFroobs, but I think it takes a few days for the new content to be refreshed at the server farms - its a massive system used by millions globally. https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www...

Re: Improve Your Belt and NCU; An Introduction to Simple Laddering

Thanks for the encouragement. And I agree with the idea that nearly everything done well and worthy of it's craft includes a healthy component of what we might call artfulness. I admire the ability to present things with elegant simplicity. I just wish I could actually produce it here!

Re: Improve Your Belt and NCU; An Introduction to Simple Laddering

I'm still working on the guide. I know I should not have posted it as a work in progress. I was too busy to work on it this past week. That sloppy work performance is on me. I appreciate people pointing that out. This is the internet after all, not a coffee shop where I'm sitting with friends. I nee...

Re: Improved Belt and NCU Build

At what level should people begin to work on character builds? Level 60? Level 70? I disagree with the notion that people should wait until level 60+ or higher to begin looking at how to build a character that can perform above their character's level. I assume people just need proper guidance. That...

Re: Improved Belt and NCU Build

I listed the GoT / SoM belts as alternatives to the store bought computer literacy skill 161 four slot belt. I didn't show those alternates on the auno equipment configuration tool - is that what you're getting at? The Notum Habit drops the Dream Mesh belt and NCU but not Nelebs robe.? EDIT: okay. I...

Rhinoman armor seems like a great option for people playing on the fresh server. Another great Hahnsoo topic :)

Improve Your Belt and NCU; An Introduction to Simple Laddering

This a thought exercise and conceptual introduction to skill and ability implant laddering. The purpose of this guide is to describe, in general terms, the processes used to wear higher quality level belts, NCU and implants than your in-game character level. Newcomers should be aware that in Anarchy...

Re: New server (Rubi-Ka 2019) live today!

I'm still frozen, this wait is killing me!!! :( I was browsing the official forums and one person mentioned the following; They had signed up via the current subscription link as everyone else had done and were frozen out, but for some reason the same person went to the old anarchy online website a...

Re: Arrival hall filled with people

I imagine with the temp level caps that most people could start a character from each profession and have useful characters for teams no matter the team composition. Good place to temp invite people to make an organization, too! It's a curious thing when people are compelled by a ruleset to abide by...

NEW 2019 Froob Engineer Guide: The Early Days

I originally intended to put this guide here on AOFroobs but the site went down. I did the next best thing and put it on a portable eBook format. View the complete book on the EPUB preview page at the archive.org link or download a copy for an Epub/Kindle ereader. https://archive.org/details/FroobEn...
