Heal Delta and Stamina Tickrate for froob

Postby Kurse on Thu Jul 05, 2007 7:35 am

As I’ve already heard, when looking about Heal delta and tick, that it is useless for a froob, I want to show here what you could do on a froob toon (atrox breed helps).

Vocabulary:

The Heal Delta (and Nano Delta) is the natural regeneration of your Health points (and Nano).
It's really slow in the beginning but start to be effective when you reach TL5 abilities and skill caps.

I will compile here some info you can find through web but also my own experience on my Main "Groumf" TL5 trox enfo.

there's two different characteristics.
• the tickrate = This value defines how often you get additional points.
• the regeneration amount = This is the number of points you get with each tick (often called Healdelta).

The tickrate:

Tickrate is based on your stamina. The general formula to calculate it is:
tick period = 29 - ( STAMINA / 30 ) while you're standing. If you sit around the tickrate is halved.
2 sec is the fastest tickrate (standing) 1 sec (sit).

From this results the following values (standing)

30 Stamina => 28 Sec.
...
420 Stamina => 15 Sec.
450 Stamina => 14 Sec.
...
690 Stamina => 6 Sec.
720 Stamina => 5 Sec.
750 Stamina => 4 Sec.
780 Stamina => 3 Sec.
810 Stamina => 2 Sec.

These are strict threshold, meaning if you have 705 in stamina you still have 6sec it not 5.5sec.

But at 780 in stamina, you reach the 1s stam tick when sitting.

The regeneration:

The regeneration amount also known as HealDelta, depend on your breed, and the body dev skill.

The amount of healdelta you get is:

Base + (BodyDev / 100) + healdelta items/buff (standing)

Base is 4 for atrox, 3 for opi/sol, 2 for nanomage

While sitting, the Base and body dev are tripled

[Base + (BodyDev / 100)] x 3 + HealDelta items/nano (sit)

Heal delta items/buff for froobs are not numerous, get Desecrated Bloodmark from IS and the general nano Regeneration as a start.
Of course triple implant jobe cluster "+HealthDelta" is the key

Implants:

As we said triple implant stamina and +HealthDelta is the base.

Just look at imps set:

Chest - Shinning - Stamina
LeftArm - Shinning - +HealthDelta
Leg - Bright - Stamina
Leg - Faded - +HealthDelta
Waist - Bright - BodyDev
Waist - Faded - Stamina
Feet - Bright - +HealthDelta

BodyDev is in the waist in order to maximize the skill as BodyDev/100 = +HealDelta.

The common remark is on chest shining and leg faded this set prevent your to implant BodyDev/MaxHealth cluster.

For Ql 200 imps it represents a loss of 588hp for Atrox (bodyDev) or 567hp (MaxHealth for other breeds).

My point of view is looking for ~130hp/5sec worth this 600hp lose. we will see this on the example.

A concrete example:

My main Groumf is a good looking atrox enforcer TL5 title capped on most of his skill at this time.

The stamina is maxed and I have reached the breed cap of 512 at level 169. The Body dev is also TL5 capped and implanted as far as possible when it doesn't conflicts with crucial stat (atm ~830 body dev).

Of course stamina and HealDelta have been triple implanted on ql 200 set (stamina/HealDelta + 110).

As the plan is to look for stamina/HealDelta buffing item while not gimping too much the toon, I choose the following items

Stamina:

Armor: Proactive set minus sleeves (Stamina + 8 )

Sleeves: Frederickson Micro-kinetic Sleeves x 2 (stamina + 44)

Ring: Platinum Filigree Ring set with a Perfectly Cut Red beryl ql 250 (stamina +5)

Buff: Essence of Behemoth (Stamina +27), Stamina Boost (Stamina +12)

Org Contract: Universal Advantage - Heart Pump Boost (Stamina +3 at lvl 171, thanks NA tower fields)

512 + 110 + 8 + 44 + 5 + 27 + 12 + 3 = Stamina 721 = 5sec

Edit 17.5 update

the new Miy's armor bring 2 parts impossible to miss if your looking for stamina the Miy's Tank Body Armor and the Miy's Tank Armor Boots could be found up to ql 240 will add +12 and +18

Do not forget Ring of Endurance adding +16.

HealDelta:

RightWrist: Desecrated Bloodmark HealDelta +3

LeftWrist: Jeuru's Oscillating Ligature 20hp 10sec tick

Buff: Regeneration HealDelta +3

4 (Base) + 8 (BD) + 110 + 3 + 3 = 128 (standing)

12 (Base) + 24 (BD) + 110 + 3 + 3 = 152 (sit)

On the toon

5s tick 128hp + 20hp/10sec (ligature) = 138hp/5sec (standing)

2.5S tick 152 hp + 20hp/10sec (ligature) = 314hp/5sec (sit)

Make a little parallel with HOT from fixer and doc:

Long HOT
Dr Hack 'n Quack (froob fixer top of the line) average 186hp/5sec
Duration 30 min

Short HOT
Omni-Med Incursion (froob fixer top of the line) average 199hp/5sec
Duration 3min20

Deathless Blessing (froob doc top of the line) average 300hp/5sec
Duration 2min20

Good news is: HealDelta STACKS with long and short HOT!

The second slot ring could be use either to put another Platinum Filigree Ring set with a Perfectly Cut Red beryl ql 250 (Stamina +5) or a Platinum Filigree Ring set with a Perfectly Cut Coral ql 250 (HealDelta ~+7)

With this set, my new little game is to kill the BT with only my damage shield, quite funny to see the mob killing itself by attacking a sitting peacefull enfo.

OutBuff/Nano listing (if you have friend or creds for tipping)

Stamina

Generic buff:
Stamina Boost (Stamina +12)

Doc Buff:
Iron Circle (Stamina +20)
Enlarge (Stamina +10)

Enfo Buff:
Essence of Behemoth (Stamina +27)

HealDelta

Generic Buff:
Regeneration (HealDelta +3 Duration 20 min)

Doc buff:
Blood Circle (HealDelta +4 Duration 10 min)
Hearty Constitution (HealDelta +8 Duration 30 min)
Continuous Reconstruction (HealDelta +14 Duration 60 min)

Take a look also to the improved version

Improved Hearty Constitution (HealDelta + 48 duration 30 min)
Improved Continuous Reconstruction (HealDelta +65 duration 60 min)

Soldier Buff (Careful do not stack with enfo essence):

Battlefield Endurance (HealDelta +3 duration 60 min)
Survivor's Resilience (HealDelta +3 duration 60 min)

Seems improved soldier nanos versions can be found in mainframe no nanocrystal are listed to uploaded them

Some Buffing item and alternative armor set

The proactive set is not the only armor choice possible, but micro-kinetic still a must have. The problem is these sleeves are Omni only.

Stamina

For pocket tanking, a little pair of Concrete Cushion make life easier (Stamina +16).

A ql 200 Nova Dillon Set could be an alternate solution (with micro kinetic), the problem is the sense req a bit high for a fighter. Ac and buff of the proactive set are of course definitely nicer.

You could use also Body of the Servants of Eight (nice Stamina +10 buff)

Soldier could choose Notum Infused Kevlar Armor Boots (Stamina +10)

A wild range of weapons have stamina buff, you could also looking here where to find your last missing stamina point to reach the next tick step.

Some clan specific ring are also available: Clan Ring of Salvation

the nice ring from Jake add Stamina +14 only for Fixer, NT , or Engi unfortunatly.

HealDelta

Advy could make a nice alternate choice with Infernal Tyrant set (no Stamina Buff but HealDelta +15 without sleeves) with Unhallowed Bloodseal of the Infernal Tyrant (HealDelta +4)

For people who think the third IS floor still a too dangerous place lesser bloodmark are available at the 1st (Bloodmark) and the 2nd floor (Defiled Bloodmark).

Looking for future (Patch 17.5 updated) :

The future could be based on a 220 refined imp for Stamina and Heal delta (Stam/HealDelta +116)
Universal Advantage - Heart Pump Boost (Stamina +5 at lvl 200)
Anything (Stamina +2)
The Dantian Belt of Life (Stamina +5) but only 5 slot :(
Ring of Endurance adding +17
And if possible a Kegern's pant helmet and glove (Stamina +3 from proactive ones)
Miy's Tank Body Armor +18
Miy's Tank Armor Boots +12

721 + 6(imps) + 2(org contract) + 4 (any) + 5 (belt)+ 3 (kegern) + 17 (ring of endurance) +12 (ring of endurance/sl ring) + 11 (miy boot/proactive) + 16 (miy body/proactive) = 797 stamina = 3 sec tick (7 point over 790, and 790 + 20 from IC bring you at 810 the 2sec stam tick)

It would be nice to push deeper the imp to get a +8 (/+2) bringing you at 799.

At this point if you could find a Serious Gravity you reach 804 in stam 6 point form the limit not too bad....

and with the miy's tank cloack incoming...

I haven't considered possible to get the Small Ebony Figurine as it seems not to be ingame anymore.

Nice guide, Groumf :)

Just one addition: The total loss of HP over a more HP centric setup is higher than just the HP loss caused by the different implant config, because certain slots are "blocked" with items to buff Stamina rather than other things like HP. Assuming a (final) setup for level 200 this goes well beyond 900 HP.

Anyway, I bet you have much fun in team missions and while soloing; two places where a healdelta centric setup can play out it's strengths!

Yeah, in the last mission I went on with Groumf, I couldn't tell whether or not I had my Short HoT cast on him with my Doctor from looking at the Health Bars. I was perplexed for a bit when I didn't see a healing text message in my feedback window but his health was still slowly ticking up.

Another couple of items that are worth mentioning. Ljotur Pants of Cornucopia gives +8 Stamina, and Dillon Armor (not Nova Dillon, but Dillon) can give up to a +10 bonus per piece at QL 200 (if anyone can find it... I've not seen any above QL 60ish).

As far as i know only the boots ("Dillon Boots") are ingame @ ql200. Or at least the other parts dont drop anymore, maybe there are some around somewhere...

Great thread and interesting setup. I wish you good luck with your attempt. I hope you will take it to the limits.

One interesting addition for this setup would be dualing HSR Arms N.M. pistols for +50 stamina. Too bad that using buffing weapons defeats the purpose in most cases :).

I am afraid that in the high end encounters the max HP will be more important than any kind of hots. HoT won't help you when mob hits 5k but max hp could allow you to survive two hits while doc recharges from CH. CH recharge is 8 seconds and in that time even with 4 tics you would likely get less than the HP that you have lost in making this setup.

Perhaps you could measure this setup so that it is better [than max hp setup] if between two CHs you can regain more HP than what you have lost from you setup.

I teamed with Groumf in IS second floor and my norman healing strategy debuf+hot+afk could be changed to debuf+afk. And for RK missions this should be incredible setup.

To be honnest I ve teamed with Groumf with my doc from the time he left newb-island :)

I can compare having him or other as tank, and I must say that the healdelta "works" very well.

But it's true, it's more a setup for long fights like dyna or team mish or Is 1st and 2nd floor than high damage raid one. But to be honnest I dont remember the last time Groumf died between 2 CH on him ...

The idea of his setup was what urged me to buy the weird looking Continuous Reconstruction ... and I still think I ll try again once I ve got the credits again ... (and hope I m not so unlucky twice ...)

Maybe a pair of proactive Sleeves to swap depending of the situation is a good idea ...

Taking in account the wise remarks of two members of "the mighty lvl 200 froob team" (Sferykal and Lostu), I will study a max HP equipment set and made a short list of some DD useful item.

Alternate DD set to hotswap

I already carry in my bag a little DD buff set to hotswap if needed based on:

Might of the Revenant +32 (not already have one atm but soon i hope...)

Barrow Strength +15

these two items decrease Stamina so i use them carefully.

Virral Triumvirate Egg +3

Rockcrusher Gauntlets +9

Bloodshed Armband +23

Ring of Power - Physics +25

Alternate MaxHealth set to hotswap

In order to max HP, complete proactive set MaxHealth +1530 work well.

a full Azure is also great with MaxHealth +1450 and better AC than proactive (but proactive still a great armor set).

Of course do not forget to upgrade as far as possible your token board, 1750 TL6 board add 1900 hp.

Do not forget nice looking Enhanced Pads of Dedication +250 hp and Pads of Dedication +200 hp.

I'm certainly forgetting a lot of useful item (and RBP due to price ).

Might want to consider a DChest for a DD setup - You lose 150HP (Dchest adds 300, Proac adds 450) but the obvious gain of +42 damage is more than enough to make up for 150HP lost although for a tanking (As in, chain-mongo) setup I'd consider Azure to be the winner in the chest dept. Probably Azure chest + OTAF Tank for a TL6 tanking setup and DChest + HNTA for PvP or soloing.

I agree, the main problem of the Dchest is the price around 500M.

nice of course expensive 500M + 200M = 700M but nice.

Nooooo! Please do not listen to us. Every enforcer can make a max HP (or yikes DD) setup but heal delta setup is something hard core. You got even Sferykals attention and respect with that. Please push that to the limit and show us how far a froob can go. We just told our opinion about the max hp issue because it is important to understand the trade off and sacrifices.

Edit: I will team you even if you wear Ljotur pants.

Be happy I'm not wearing Tentacle Thongs.

:D

more seriously even if Ljotur pant add Stamina +8, i think the proactive pant worth the loosing of 4 stamina point.
