For a Limited Time: June 2007 Promo Items (Picture heavy)

Postby hahnsoo on Wed Jun 27, 2007 9:27 pm

As of right now (June 28, 2007), there are special quest NPCs that give you some pretty nifty birthday items. This is what I've gathered so far (with updates to come as things change):

1) Start the chain by visiting Coordinator Barker - Rubi-Ka Tours near the ICC whompahs:

2) She will give you two items, a Dreadloch Promotional Gizmo and Gadget, which are NoDrop Unique items that fit in your Util1 Slot. As far as I know, they don't do anything but give you a cool new floaty thingy by your head.

3) She will also give you a Note to deliver to someone in Newland Desert. Fastest way to get there is to Whompah to Newland, then Whompah to Newland Desert.

4) At this location, in 2340x1175 of Newland Desert, you'll meet a lost Tour Guide named Gregory Fitz:

5) Give him the note and you'll get some XP (approximately 3% of the amount you need to get your next level), a small amount of credits, and two Small Backpacks with a special look:

6) That's pretty much it. There is another Rubi-Ka Tours guide at ICC named Kate Hayes. I haven't figured out what she is there for.... either another upcoming giveaway or a SLoob-only quest.

If anyone knows of any new information or any other promotional items, post in this thread!

EDIT: MAJOR Props to MrCoffee for telling me about this!

I wouldn't be posting it here at AOFroobs if it wasn't Froobable. :D So yes, they are available for all froobs.

Do either of those HUD items give off light, like the Floating Torch? Also, those backpacks look pretty sweet.

No they don't, but you can still wear a normal light in another utils slot.
They are more like a Wen-Wen.
